Yes, I said no sugar. You might think, “eww no sugar”, or, “does she mean fake sweeteners?” But nope. The sweetness comes from 2 pitted medjool dates. Just 2, that’s all it takes to make a delicious and filling latte. I’ve been a little obsessed with this mocha latte lately. I drink it on cold mornings and some nights for a snack. The best part about it is that it is healthy and there are just a few ingredients.
The Best Mocha Latte:
Prep Time: 5 min
Appliances: High Powered Blender, Saucepan
1 cup of coffee (or enough to fill a coffee cup)
1 cup canned full fat coconut milk (you can substitute carton coconut milk, but it won’t be quite as creamy)
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 pitted medjool dates
a pinch of salt
a splash of vanilla
Set up your blender. Make coffee, keep hot and set aside. Heat full fat canned coconut milk in a small saucepan until hot. Put dates in the blender. Pour coffee and hot coconut milk into blender. Add cocoa powder, pitted dates, salt, and vanilla. Blend on high for 10 seconds or until dates are undetectable. Enjoy!
